Metaverse Lobby One Piece: how to play with a webcam
Bandai's browser lobby connects physical card players by video; the Japanese Weekend events have separate entry and reward conditions.
The short version
- BANDAI CARD GAMES Metaverse Lobby uses physical cards and a webcam or a supported phone or tablet for online battles.
- The official guide requires a Bandai Namco ID and explains how to choose a game area and sit at a virtual table.
- The Japanese One Piece Weekend event requires at least one qualifying battle and a survey for its participation reward, with shipping limited to Japan.
Metaverse Lobby lets you play One Piece with your physical deck over video in a browser. Set up a camera over your play area, sign in with a Bandai Namco ID, select the game and join a table. Bring the cards yourself; the official setup guide describes a camera-based match rather than a digital card collection.
The guide below follows Bandai's Japanese service pages. Check the current room and event notices for language, schedule and participation conditions. For other ways to practise, see our online play guide.
Set up a readable play area
| Setup | What Bandai lists |
|---|---|
| iPhone or iPad | Safari; iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 and later |
| Android device | Chrome; Android 13 and later |
| Windows PC | Latest Chrome; Windows 10 and later |
| Mac | Latest Chrome; macOS Monterey and later |
You'll need your physical cards, a table and a camera that can show the field. A phone stand holds the view steady; a headset is optional. Bandai recommends Wi-Fi for phone use because video consumes substantial data. Meeting the listed requirements doesn't guarantee performance on every device.
Join your first table
From setup to a match
Test camera and microphone
Use the connection test linked from Bandai's guide. Frame the whole field and check that card text is readable without moving the stand.
Sign in and choose One Piece
Use your Bandai Namco ID. Read the notices for the selected game before entering.
Set your public profile
On first entry, choose a profile and avatar. Other users can see the profile, so review it before joining a room.
Choose an area and table
Enter the area, use automatic room entry if appropriate, then select a table. An empty table waits for an opponent; an occupied table starts the process with that player.
Agree on the game before starting
Confirm the deck format and communication language with your opponent. Keep hands and private information out of the camera view while keeping the field visible.
Weekend rewards: check the Japanese conditions
The One Piece Weekend page says a qualifying battle plus the survey is required for a participation reward. Shipping is limited to Japan, and the address on your Bandai Namco ID must be correct. There's a limit of one reward set per person per event period. These are event conditions, not a promise of rewards for every casual lobby match.
On 4 November 2026, the Japanese One Piece home page linked a November schedule announcement dated 30 October, while the accessible Weekend page still labelled its prize section October. We haven't confirmed November's dates or prize contents from that text. Check the live schedule before planning a session around a reward.
If a match does not count
The Weekend page warns that very short matches or closing the browser without exiting through the menu may not count. Matched sessions have a 120-minute limit; enter the result before it expires. Complete the survey as instructed and keep your account details accurate.
For store-event registration instead, use Bandai TCG+. It handles event applications and pairings; the Metaverse Lobby guide covers the video-play setup.
If you are preparing an event deck, check the Sealed rules first: a 40-card Sealed deck differs from normal 50-card construction.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need physical One Piece cards?
- Yes. Bandai's setup guide requires real cards and a webcam or a suitable phone or tablet setup.
- Can Weekend prizes be shipped overseas?
- The Japanese One Piece Weekend page limits participation-reward shipping to Japan. Don't plan on international delivery.
- Do I get a reward just for logging in?
- No. The event page requires at least one qualifying battle plus the survey during the event period, subject to its other conditions.
- Does Bandai TCG+ replace the webcam lobby?
- TCG+ handles event discovery and registration. Follow Metaverse Lobby's own instructions to enter its rooms and play by camera.

Stop guessing what your cards are worth
Bounty's deck builder shows how much of a deck your ungraded inventory covers and which cards are missing. You can use that list to prepare your physical deck before a camera match.
