Premium Bandai's page also warns that pre-orders can close early if the maximum number of orders is reached. That's why so many collectors missed this one: the window was short, and collectors on X reported it selling out and coming back in waves.
If you missed the pre-order
Some hobby stores and distributors list the set for pre-order, and the UK distributor Asmodee gives 2 April 2027 as its release date. That suggests it'll reach some stores as well as Premium Bandai customers, but Bandai hasn't said how wide that distribution is.
Resale listings already ask well above $30. Those are asking prices for a product that doesn't exist yet, not sales. Premium collections often get cheaper once copies actually arrive, so paying a large premium months ahead is the riskiest way to get one.
How it compares with other premium collections
Bandai has a run of these collector sets on its English site right now. The live-action Season 2 collections are $20 for seven cards each. The Premium Card Collection -29th Anniversary Edition- is $10 for eight cards: four of a normal version and four in a premium finish. At $30 for 14 cards, Ace & Sabo & Luffy sits in the same price range per card.
These are collector items first. Cards from premium collections usually carry P- promo numbers or reprint existing card numbers, and Bandai hasn't said which this set uses. Our promo cards explainer covers what that means for value and play.
Is it worth it?
At $30 from Bandai, yes, if you collect the brothers: it's a themed set you can't pull from packs. At a reseller's markup, wait. A product that ships in April 2027 gives you months to see the card list and the first real sales before deciding. It's also a poor gift for this year: it won't arrive until spring. Our 2026 gift guide has options that ship before December.
