Registration on 25 October

  • North America: 25 October 2026, 9:00am EDT. Invited players only.
  • Europe: 25 October 2026, 9:00am GMT / 10:00am CET. Invited players only.
  • Latin America: 25 October 2026, 9:00am PT / 12:00pm ET. First come, first served.
  • Oceania: 25 October 2026, 12:00pm AEDT. First come, first served.

Bandai calls these times a guideline, and organisers can differ. Invited players in North America and Europe are pre-registered on Bandai TCG+ and get a payment code; you then pay and submit your deck list by the deadline.

How invites work

  • An invite from a Season 2 Regional is only valid for the Season 2 Finals. Season 1 invites don't carry over.
  • In North America and Europe, Finals invites go to TCG+ players from that region, and you can't earn one at a tournament outside it.
  • If a finalist already holds an invite, it passes down to the next-highest finisher.
  • You can play Finals outside your region, but only residents can take a World Championship invitation for it.
  • Selling or transferring invites and tickets is forbidden and can get you disqualified.

Still need an invite in North America? Season 2 Regionals left on the official schedule include Pomona (7–8 November), Niagara Falls and Knoxville (14 November), Oklahoma City (21–22 November), Peoria (6 December), Montreal and Kissimmee (12–13 December) and Monroeville (19–20 December). Europe and the other regions have their own list on Bandai's Regionals page.

The World Championship 26-27 is in Japan. At its Next Plan presentation in June 2026, Bandai said the World Finals would be a standalone event in March 2027. If you might qualify, Bandai's advice is to sort out a passport and any visa as soon as your place is confirmed.

Getting ready

The banlist changed on 12 October 2026, when Dracule Mihawk (OP14-020) was banned, and OP-18 becomes legal before the Finals. Check your list against the current banlist and expect the format to shift after 20 November. Our tournament guide covers what a large Swiss event feels like if this is your first.

Banned, restricted, banned in pairs: three different things, and the third one catches out more players than the other two combined.
