It's a run of Extra Regulation tournaments held as side events at Championship 26-27 Regionals in October and November 2026, across North America, Europe, Oceania and Latin America. What Extra Regulation means

Since April 2026 the game has two formats. Standard Regulation keeps only recent blocks legal; Extra Regulation lets you play everything, back to OP-01, minus the banned cards. Our rotation guide explains the block icons and which sets left Standard.

The banned list still applies, and it changed on 12 October 2026 when Dracule Mihawk (OP14-020) was banned. Check your list against our banlist guide before you register, including the banned pairs.

The Yamato serial number card is the standout. Each copy has its own printed number, and Bandai's rules say serial cards can't be exchanged or replaced for any reason, so check yours before you leave the venue.

Is it worth playing?

If you have an old deck that rotated out, yes. Most official events use Standard, so this series is the main chance to take an Extra deck to a big tournament this autumn. Expect a field of strong older Leaders rather than the Standard meta, and remember that best-of-one punishes a slow start. Our tournament guide covers the rest of what to expect on the day.
